Meeting Information

Interested in learning more about babywearing? Looking for help with your carrier? Trying to decide what kind of carrier to get? Come to one of our meetings! All meetings are completely free and open to the public. About half of our attendees have never been to a meeting before, so you’re not alone!

Our Monday meetings are “open help” – that means the VBEs (volunteer babywearing educators) each man a different station and offer hands-on help with wearing. On Saturday meetings we begin with an educational topic that lasts for about 20 minutes, then break into open help stations.

We begin each meeting with group introductions, so if you are new and a little nervous, be sure to come at the beginning of the meeting so you don’t feel like a stranger :)

Meetings are held at the North Branch of the Peoria Public Library on the second Saturday of the month from 10:15 – Noon, and on the fourth Monday of the month from 5:30-7:00.

****Check too on room location, since we will sometimes  be meeting in the McKenzie Room, not the Seminar Room**

  1. Are there any other times to try out carriers from the lending library? I just learned of your services while looking for a backpack carrier for my 3 year old for an upcoming trip to the Mall of America. We are leaving soon and I would love to see what you have in your library so I can buy one that fits us perfectly. The on line searches have me overwhelmed!

    1. Hi Diane!
We’re glad you found us! Ideally, we want people to attend one of our meetings, so they can learn how awesome the group is and maybe want to get more involved! We are also open to scheduling a playdate or bringing our teaching stash to your privately hosted event. If none of those options work for you, shoot us an email ( and we’ll see what we can do.
